Jessica Badillo

Jessica Badillo, MSN, RN, a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Future of Nursing Scholar, is a Clinical Nurse Specialist with an interest in attacking the global burden of Acute surgical disease by implementing strategies to introduce Advance Practice Nurses as interprofessional leaders in Latin America.

She earned her bacchalaurete degree from Universidad Metropolitana, Recinto de Aguadilla and her two master's degree from EDP University, Recinto de San Sebastian.

Badillo worked for six years as an emergency room nurse in Hospital Perea at Mayaguez, PR. During this time she completed an internship at Massachussetts General Hospital in the trauma/acute surgical division under the supervision of the trauma program manager. She is also member of a surgical team who travels annually to Cuba to promote and educate nurses and physicians on the advances of trauma, acute care and nurse leadership and empowerment.

Badillo lives in Newark, New Jersey.
